Gallup polling on candidate honesty
Ouch:
Question: "Does the term "honest and trustworthy apply to..."
John McCain: Yes 67% No 27%
Barack Obama: Yes 63% No 29%
Hillary Clinton: Yes 44% No 53%
Other interesting internals:
"Cares about the needs of people like you" McCain 54, Obama 66, Clinton 54.
"Understands the problems Americans face in their daily lives" McCain 55, Obama 67, Clinton 58
"Is someone you would be proud to have as president" McCain 55, Obama 57, Clinton 47
"Shares your values" McCain 46, Obama 51, Clinton 45
In other polling news. Gallup's tracking poll says Obama has had a remarkable 10 point turnaround in support among Democratic voters in just four days. Note that this is a rolling average. So the turn away from him seems to have been as real as the turn back towards him. He has gone from 7 points behind at the beginning of the week to 3 points ahead of Clinton.
